What Our Reedy Creek Tree Services Cover
Our Reedy Creek tree services cover the full range of tree care, from a single branch to an overgrown block brought back under control.
Caring for Established Trees
Reedy Creek has plenty of mature trees that need proper care. We prune and maintain them so they stay healthy and safe, rather than cutting hard and hoping for the best.
When a Tree Has to Come Out
Dead, diseased or storm-damaged trees are removed safely, with access and cleanup planned first. If council approval applies, we tell you upfront.
After-Hours Emergency Callouts
When a limb drops or a tree comes down across a driveway, it cannot wait. We respond after hours to make the site safe and clear the hazard.
Pruning and Canopy Reduction
Tree lopping and proper pruning are not the same thing. We reduce and shape the canopy so a tree stays balanced, instead of a heavy cut that leaves it stressed and regrowing badly.
Mulch and Green Waste Removal
Green waste from your job is turned into mulch where we can, so less heads to landfill and your garden can put it to use.
Stump Grinding Below the Surface
We grind stumps out below ground level, whether from a tree we have just removed or one that has sat on your property for years.

What Our Customers Say
Do You Need Council Approval to Remove a Tree?
Reedy Creek sits within the City of Gold Coast, and most established trees on private property fall under the council's vegetation management rules, so it is worth checking before any cutting begins. As a general guide, a tree usually needs development approval before removal if it stands taller than 4 metres, has a trunk more than 40 centimetres around when measured 1.3 metres from the ground, or forms part of mapped remnant, regrowth or wetland vegetation.
Some situations are exempt. Trees close to an existing boundary fence or approved structure, within 1.5 metres of a pool fence, flagged as a pest species by a Level 3 arborist, or assessed as dangerous by a council Level 5 arborist can often be worked on without approval. These exemptions may not apply on body corporate or community title land, so check your title type first.
Removing assessable vegetation without approval is an offence under Queensland's Planning Act, and the penalties can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. We would rather you avoided that. Our arborists can assess your tree, tell you honestly where it stands, and handle the council application for you if one is needed.
Questions Reedy Creek Locals Ask Us
How much does tree removal cost in Reedy Creek?
It depends on a lot of variables: the size and condition of the tree, how easy it is to reach, whether structures or power lines are nearby, and whether council approval is needed. Because no two jobs are the same, we give you a free, itemised quote in person so you know the full cost before work starts.
Can you remove large gum trees and other natives?
Yes. Large gums and established natives are common around Reedy Creek, and they often need a section-by-section approach to bring down safely. Many natives are protected, so we check whether council approval is required before we begin.
Will you clear away all the branches and mess afterward?
Yes. Cleanup is part of the job. We remove the branches and debris and leave your property tidy, and where possible the green waste becomes mulch rather than landfill.
Can you work in tight spots close to the house or fence?
Yes. Plenty of Reedy Creek blocks have limited access and trees close to homes, fences and pools. We plan carefully and dismantle trees in sections when there is no clear drop zone, so nearby structures stay protected.
When is the best time of year to prune a tree?
For most species, late winter to early spring is ideal, because the tree recovers quickly as it moves into active growth. Even so, dead, damaged or hazardous branches should be dealt with whenever they appear. Our arborists can advise on the right timing for your trees.
